Sunday Scoop
Well this weekend was a very relaxing one. We haven't had one of those in awhile and I must admit I kinda didn't know what to do with myself. Saturday morning we went to O'Charley's for breakfast.Lillian's school was having a pancake breakfast to raise money for the school and she asked to go.It was really nice and te pancakes and bacon were good. And I didn't have to cook and that is a major plus in my book.Breakfast is one meal I do not like to cook.I don't know why but it is my least favorite meal to cook. After the breakfast Tony went to a meeting and Parker,Lola, and I were the only ones home. However that changed and I wound up taking Parker and Lillian to friend's houses.I did a little shopping with my mom and came home and picked up Lillian and we came home. Not much happened after that.Sunday we went to church and it was really good.Pastor Lindburg talked about something I have been thinking on lately;so now I have more to think on and I guess that is a good thing. We came home from church had lunch and Lola and I took a nap and Tony,Parker, and a friend went to the movies to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians .They really liked it.Well that was our weekend in a nutshell and I hope our week is just as relaxing:)Have a great week!!!!

Brothers
This is a conversation I had with my two year old daughter Lola yesterday afternoon.
Lola: "I want to play in my woom(room).
Me: "O.K., you can go play in your room."
Lola: "No, I go play my woom"
Me:"O.K. go play in your room."
Lola:"No,Bubba(her big brother)."
Me:"Do you want Bubba to go play with you in your room?"
Lola:"No, I play my woom!!!!"
Me:"You want to go play in your room but you have to walk by your brother to get there?"
Lola shakes her head yes.
Me:"O.K., I'll walk you to you your room."
I walk her to her room which is past the bathroom where her brother is at and after she goes happily into her room this is the next little conversation.
Lola:"I lock Bubba out of my woom."
Me:"Your gonna lock your brother out of your room?"
Lola:"I lock him out my woom."
Me:"O.K.,well good luck with that because you don't have a lock on your door."
Lola:"Humph."

5 Minutes of Normal Please...
I would just like 5 minutes of normal. You would think that would be an easy thing. But for some unknown reason it eludes me.It seems as though things haven't been "normal" for a while now. "What things you ask?" Just normal everyday things. Here's a good example.A week ago my dad was admitted into the hospital. He was having some heart trouble and lung trouble. They admitted him to run tests.Normal right?Nope, took them four days to tell the man he had pnemonia! On said day that my dad gets admitted to the hospital Parker comes sick from school. He has fever, headache, and sore throat. Normal symptoms right? Nope Dr. says he has an infection in the part of the throat you usually don't see. Home with antibiotics. Two days later the husband says he thinks he has an ear infection.Normal to think when your having ear pain? Nope, double ear infection and the Dr. goes and gets the training Dr. so she can see how bad one ear is!! So Thurs. the husband tells me is going to bed for the rest of the night. So I'm left to get Parker to a basketball game and find something to do with the girls.Normal right?Nope, first time my son has had to go to a game without a parent present.Fast forward to Sat. after all the ice.I cleaned house all day and tried to occupy three kids.Everything was "normal" till that night when Lillian screams "the dog just threw up!" So after cleaning that up it was bath time and I put the two girls in the tub together to save time and save Momma.Normal right? Nope, Lola has had some stomach issues and those issues came out in the tub.So Lola is laughing as Lillian is screaming"Get it away" and scrambling to get out of the tub. And I did what was "normal", I laughed. Yes, I stood in the middle of the bathroom floor and laughed till I cried!!!Can I please have that 5 minutes of normal? I really need it now that Lillian is sick with fever, headache and sore throat.Normal right? I doubt it!

She's 8 Today...
Well it is hard to believe but Lillian turned 8 today. The 8 years seem to have flown by. She is my firstborn daughter. Truth be told I wasn't sure I wanted girls. I would have been fine with all boys. I love sports and would have spent all my time at sporting events and doing boy things but God had other plans. When I found out I was pregnant I was sure it was a boy. My mother and everyone thought it was a girl. What did they know? Right!?! My mother said she knew it was a girl the second she saw my face after the ultrasound. She said I looked like I was in shock. I was very much! I wouldn't even buy pink for her! But she won me over when she came into the world and only had eyes for me! I had never felt so special! So to introduce you to my Lillian a little bit I decided in honor of her 8th birthday to give you 8 fun facts about her!
8 Fun Facts About Lillian:
1.Lillian was born on Tuesday, October 2,2001 at 12:29p.m.She weighed 6pds.90z. and was 19 1/2 inches long.
2.Lillian's full name is Lillian Michelle B. Lillian was my maternal great-grandmother's name and Michelle is Tony's sisters name who passed away a day after being born. We were looking for a name that not everybody had and could not agree on one. I finally asked my dad my great-grandmother's name on his side of the family and when he said Lillian I knew that would be her name.
3.She is both a little sister and a big sister. She is a sweet sister and very helpful. She is her little sister's best friend. How her brother feels about her is another few posts in itself!
4.She loves to draw. She is the only one of my kids who ever drew on the walls. That should have a warning sign right there. She likes to draw pictures of her family, hearts, rainbows, and animals. She likes color and lots of it!
5. She loves DOGS!!! She loves real dogs, stuffed animal dogs, Littlest Pet Shop dogs, and just about any dog. She got a poodle for her 5th birthday and his name is Tucker. She decided she wanted a puppy for her birthday and got a poodle magazine and carried it around for 2 months so she could show everyone the poodle she wanted. I told you she loves dogs.
6.She has never played with a baby doll or a Barbie doll in her life. I tried but she would have nothing to do with one. I just knew she would because I loved baby dolls and Barbie but nope not her. She only loved Littlest Pet Shop. Go figure.
7.She is a bow wearing, earring wearing, necklace wearing, fingernail polish wearing sports nut. She plays soccer and softball and has asked to play basketball this year. She can outrun just about any boy. She proved it last year when her brother's baseball had to run laps and the coach let her run and she beat them all!!! They were 12 and under!! She loves to run what can I say!
8.She loves the Lord. She loves going to church and asks everyday how many more days till church. She worships the Lord so sweetly. I watched one night during VBS her worship the Lord and I couldn't stop crying at how sweet it was.
Well I hope you've learned some things about my sweet girl! We love you Lillian and wish you many more Happy Birthdays!!!!

My Football Player
I'm a proud football momma, I love the game! Love to watch it on tv, go to college games , and to watch my son play. Parker is my football player. He loves to play football. He started asking me when he was six years old if he could play. I said "No Way!!" "Not till you are 10 years old!" Well I signed him up for flag football when he was in 2nd grade at FACS. At the first practice when he found out he couldn't tackle he said he would wait untill he was 10 because it wasn't worth playing if he couldn't "take them down." So he waited inpatiently for 2 more years. He began his career at 10 and has played for the CYAA for two years and both years has been a Tennessee Titan. By the way, his momma's favorite team. However this year we have to play for the GYAA in Germantown because he is to old for CYAA and to young for the middle school football team. The CYAA cutoff age is 11 (he's 12) and you have to be in 7th grade to play for Collierville Middle (he's going into 6th). But lucky for us GYAA's age cutoff is 12. I'm kinda glad because I don't know if I'm ready for middle school ball; Parker is ready, I'm not!! So we spent all last week at conditioning and I'm told he did real well. So Friday and Saturday were the evaluations and my husband said he did Great!!! Yeah!!! So for us it will be another season of football practices and games!!!
I can't wait for the first game!!!
Parker on the right getting ready to rumble.
On your mark, Get set, GO!!!!!!!!! (6.5 in 40 yds.)
