And Their Off!!

To school that is. All of the littles returned to school today after a two week break. Were they ready you ask, one was grumbling and the other two were smiling and rearing to go. I'll let you guess who was grumpy:) I was able to go the grocery store, put away said groceries, have a little lunch, and put away some Christmas decorations. After picking up all three Lillian and I headed to hip hop class and I got to see the girls recital costumes. Both are wearing black and white,Lola's is black/white polka dot with hot pink accents and Lillan's is black/white stripe with red accents. Lillian has moved up this year and will be doing three dances:tap, jazz, and balleia. Her balleia costume is solid white(her black/white stripe is for tap and jazz)and is beautiful. I can't wait to see her in it. She also has a hip hop costume which she is excited about bacause it has her two favorite colors:blue and green. It's cute. She is also doing a duet with her friend G. Her mom and I are meeting at the studio tomorrow to look at costume books. Should be fun!! Well that was our day and we'll see what tommorow brings!!

Nothing New Here

Well nothing new here to report. Parker went hunting for the first time today. Sorry no pic, they left to early. Ha!!! He and his dad left very early this morning and headed to our property in Mississipi. They didn't see any deer but he had a good time.

The hubs came back home and fixed Lillian's rabbit cage. We then went back to Costco and guess what, they were open!! Yeah!! Got what we needed and headed home. We also went to the furniture store beside Costco to look for a new tv stand for the den. But after talking we might take a whole different route. I'll save that story for another day.

Then we left and went to his parents house in MS., and then the girls and I booked it home because Lillian was late for a piano lesson. Whoops!! We came home and cooked dinner, took baths, and got things ready for school tomorrow. I'm kinda sad Christmas break is over and they all go back to school tomorrow, but I kinda like the routine of it all. Breaks from school do funny things to my sleeping habits. Well everyone is snoozing and I guess I will join them!!!

New Years Day 2012

Well it's the beginning of a new year. No resolutions this year, I never seem to keep them and then get frustrated when I can't keep them. So I guess my new year's resolution is no resolution!!
We slept late this morning after seeing in the new year with the kids. After a breakfast of waffles we began to take down our tree and pack away ornaments.Kinda hard with a four year old but we discovered she is really good at being able to undo knots!! Who knew? So after packing away the tree we took Lillian and Lola to see this:

LOVED IT!!! It was great to see the Muppets again. I loved them as a kid and I'm glad I got to share with my girls. Lola liked the music, she would stand in front of us and dance. Luckily we were on the top row by ourselves:) Lillian really is into the Muppets and thanked us several time for taking her. I'm glad we were able to spend some time with them.

After the movies Lillan went to a friend's house to play and Lola went to my mom's. The hubs and I headed out to Costco but discovered it was closed. Who knew right!?! We decided since we were kidless to have a late lunch early dinner. Went to Longhorn Steakhouse it was yummy!! The hubs even had a salad( he is not a salad eater at all) he did ok managed to choke some of it down. But it will get better!! I'm super proud of him for trying!! Muah!! We went and picked up kids and came home and while he worked on my Nook Lillian and I played Just Dance 3. Whew that will work you!! Now everyone is in bed and I am headed there myself. Have a great 2012!!!

Chicks

No, not the furry, yellow, baby chicks running around at Easter or your girlfriends; I'm talking about my kids. My little chicks and I'm the Mother Hen!!! I was hesitant at first to write this out but since I don't have any followers I should be only to read this and I'll just use this as a way to get my feelings out. So here it goes:

I like my kids at home with me!!! I admit they can wear the fool out me,try my patience, and make me not a nice person to be around, but I like them HOME!!!!You see my kids went to Church camp this week and I won't get to see them for a few days. I thought I was gonna like it,and get to spend some time with Buggy but I'm still not sure about it.

I feel out of sorts, weird, like something isn't right. I feel off kilter and alot down.Is this normal? I hope it is; if not I'm big trouble!!! I feel like I'm missing out; like I'm missing seeing them get to experience all camp has to offer. I feel out of the loop. I was going with Bubba but that fell through and it didn't leave me enough time to be able to sign up to go with Boots so I guess I feel a little well maybe alot left out.I know they are with good people and with friends but other moms and dads are experiencing my kids camp memories and that makes me feel sad. I hated Church camp and I always said I would go with my kids when they went but that was not to be the case this time.

So I sit here typing into the cyber world wondering is this normal? Will this feeing go away as the days pass on,will I feel jealous when I see the pictures that were taken? Will God move and help me find peace with sitution? I hope so; I could really use some peace right now!!!

Dance,Dance,Dance

This is my sweet boy Parker.Wow, has he grown up on me!!! Tonight, he went to the Valentine's Dance at school. I'm surprised he wanted to go;he typically doesn't like things like this but a friend convinced him to go and I'm glad they did!It doesn't seem like he should old enough to go to dances but he is. This dance is only for the 7th and 8th grade classes and it's held at the gym at the middle school. It's the same gym I went to my dances at in high school before they made the high school the middle school and the middle school the high school(long story). I think its neat and special(I don't think he cares:)). The dances don't last as long as I remember them lasting , this one was from 7:00 till 9:30. I had to sign a permission slip for him to buy a ticket ! I never had to do that! His ticket was$7.00. I wish I could remember how much ours were, I think $5.00.It was semi-formal and they encouraged the boys to wear ties.My son said "No Way!" and even refused to wear the button down I had ironed for him.Little Stinker! But he looked nice in his polo shirt so I guess I can't complain. He said he had a good time and now he needs a girlfriend because all his friends have one. I know I'm NOT ready for that!!!

I love these two sweet girls!! What a joy they make it to be a mom. I have to tell this sweet story that happened tonight. I was blow drying both heads of hair tonight and they were laying on my bed with their hair hanging off the side (a thing their dad started with Lillian years ago) anyway Lola looks over at Lillian and takes her hand and says "We'll be friends forever". Then she reaches up and takes my hand while still holding Lillian's hand and says "We'll all be friends forever."I hope so my sweet girl , I hope so.

Happy 15th Birthday Kayla!!!!

This is my sweet niece Kayla. She turned 15 today!!! I can't believe that much time has gone by since we came to see her in the hospital that day!She was the sweetest baby always quiet and smiling.I remember she had the prettiest dresses that her mom would dress her in and pretty bows in her hair. She always had pretty bracelets, rings, and necklaces. I thought it was so neat and wanted my little girl to dress just like her! However Lillian does not like a ring, or any other piece of jewelry!Maybe there be hope with Lola!

I've always wanted to be an aunt.Thought it would be the grandest thing.I loved my Aunt Katie and wanted to be just like her with all my nieces and nephews. But alas;I was an only child and knew I wouldn't have any blood nieces and nephews of my own.So I wanted to marry into a large family and have lots of them. But God knew better and instead I got blessed with 1 sweet niece and 1 sweet nephew. They are such a joy!

I have enjoyed watching Kayla grow into the young lady she is becoming. She is quiet, funny, loves to tease,a book lover,a dancer(she takes pointe and I am so proud for her that she does!)and a beautiful young lady.I love you Kayla and am so proud to be your aunt.Happy Birthday from all of us and we hope that you had a great day!!!
